Export

When your preview and settings look right, click Export in the toolbar to generate a SketchUp file.

Export settings

The Export settings overlay has two tabs:

Proxy

Configure V-Ray and Enscape proxies and the SketchUp placeholder type. See Proxies.

Copy material maps

Copy texture files next to the exported .skp

Prefix the material names with the model's

Material names become Model name | Material name

Save the file

  1. Confirm export settings.

  2. Choose the destination path and file name in the save dialog.

  3. Wait for Transmuting… to finish.

Transmutr writes a SketchUp .skp using the SketchUp version selected in Options.

Export report

After export, Transmutr may show:

  • Success, success with warnings, partial failure, or failure

  • Lists of additional files (material maps, proxy sidecars)

  • Show in explorer to reveal the output folder

  • Export details for a full report

After export

  • If you launched Transmutr from the SketchUp extension, models are typically sent back automatically.

  • If SketchUp is running and connected, Transmutr may ask whether to Send to SketchUp.
